QA-Pilot
QA-Pilot is a local-AI tool - QA-Pilot is an interactive chat project that leverages online/local LLM for rapid understanding and navigation of GitHub code repository.
Overview
QA-Pilot is an interactive chat project that leverages online/local LLM for rapid understanding and navigation of GitHub code repository.
Updated runtime setup: See the deployment guide for the tested Python 3.13 / LangChain 1.x environment, pinned dependencies, Ollama setup, and systemd service. The older installation instructions below describe the original environment; installing every historical model SDK is no longer required.
- Upload a local source directory: click New Source Button, then Upload next to Confirm and select a folder on your computer. Files are uploaded to the QA-Pilot server and indexed without Git cloning. Confirm still loads the GitHub URL entered in the same dialog. Supported files: '.py', '.md', '.js', '.html', '.css', '.ts', '.sh', '.go', '.java', '.svelte' (non-empty UTF-8 text). Dependency/cache directories such as '.git', '.venv' and 'node_modules' are skipped. Limits: 2,000 source files, 10 MiB per file and 50 MiB total. Each upload creates an independent snapshot and session; local changes require a new upload. Uploaded sources support chat and the existing Python/Go codegraphs.
QA-Pilot is open-source, written primarily in Svelte, with 329 GitHub stars under the Apache 2.0 license. It was last updated on 2026-09-14.
